Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has made a call to declare the dengue outbreak an urgent public health crisis as Bangladesh continues to see a surge in the number of patients and fatalities.
Dr Iftekharuzzaman, executive director of TIB, said: "There is an urgent need to identify and resolve the lack of capacity in the city corporations and municipalities outside Dhaka to eradicate mosquitoes."
