The National Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases Center (NEIDC) presented Sunday its strategy for 2023-2025, its first since His Majesty King Abdullah II established the organization in 2020.
Jordan has a long way to go in recovering from the coronavirus pandemic, and it will not be the last crisis in a time of global public health disasters, said NEIDC president Raeda Qutob.
The center aims to consolidate the role of different authorities in preparing for, preventing, and confronting public health threats. Along with promoting evidence-based public health practices, and contributing to research and development efforts, it aims to set up a network of laboratories linked to an electronic monitoring system.
