The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) says it is closely monitoring developments regarding reports of the spread of the hepatitis C virus in some areas of southern Libya at high rates, emphasizing that the reported spread rates are "far from reality."
In a statement, the centre stressed that it is working diligently to provide testing kits and treatments for carriers of this type of virus.
