Health authorities in Syria‘s southern Quneitra province launched a child vaccination campaign Tuesday to expand routine immunization coverage and protect children against infectious diseases.
The campaign, organized by the Quneitra Health Directorate, is being conducted at health centers in Ain al-Tineh, al-Qusaiba and al-Rafid in the Sweisa area.
Abdullah al-Ali, director of the Ain al-Tineh Health Center, told SANA that the campaign focuses primarily on one-year-old children, with strong participation from local families.
In addition to vaccinations, health workers are assessing children’s nutritional status by measuring their height and weight and monitoring their growth. The centers are also providing free medicines, including painkillers and fever-reducing medications.
The campaign is part of efforts to strengthen Syria’s national immunization program and improve access to primary healthcare in rural communities.
