The Director of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Haider Al-Sayeh, has denied the spread of leishmaniasis in Bir Al-Ghanam area. Al-Sayeh confirmed in a video clip posted on his Facebook account that the area was free of any epidemics after a visit conducted by the monitoring team and the epidemiology office to the city, during which they examined several migrants in the city.
