Health authorities in the eastern Yemeni governorate of Mahra announced on Saturday the recording of the first case of chickenpox.
Local authorities in Mahra stated that “a specialized medical team from the Epidemiological Surveillance and Rapid Response Department at the governorate’s Ministry of Health and Population conducted a field visit to Nushtoon port to assess the chickenpox case after receiving a report from the relevant authorities.”
The medical team examined the case, conducted a physical examination of the contacts, and confirmed that the patient is stable and responding to treatment, which is reassuring regarding the health situation.
