After more than a decade of conflict and economic decline, children across Yemen continue to face alarming levels of malnutrition. At the same time, sweeping humanitarian funding cuts — including cuts to US-funded assistance and reductions from other donors — have forced organizations providing health and malnutrition services to scale back or halt activities, particularly in northern Yemen. 

As families are pushed to travel longer distances to seek care, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams are seeing more malnourished children arriving at our health facilities with serious medical complications such as measles. MSF calls on donors and humanitarian actors to sustain support for essential malnutrition and child health services and to ensure treatment remains accessible close to communities.
