The World Health Organization (WHO) has revealed the registration of more than 3,000 new cholera cases in Yemen, including three deaths, during the first quarter of this year.
In a recent report, the organization stated that 3,177 suspected cases of cholera and acute watery diarrhea were recorded between January 1 and March 29, 2026, in addition to 3 deaths linked to the epidemic.
The report pointed out that Yemen is the fifth country most affected by cholera outbreaks globally during the first three months of this year, following Congo, Afghanistan, Mozambique, and South Sudan.
