Across the World Health Organization (WHO) Eastern Mediterranean Region, conflicts, population displacement, climate-related hazards, disease outbreaks, food insecurity and disruptions to essential health services are increasing. These crises can amplify one another, placing additional pressure on already stretched health systems.

The information needed to understand these risks is constantly being generated across WHO, United Nations agencies and humanitarian and development partners. The challenge is that it is often spread across different systems, platforms and reporting mechanisms, making it difficult to build a shared picture of what is happening and what needs to happen next.

To address this challenge, the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean is advancing a Regional All-Hazards Public Health Intelligence (PHI) Network through the Regional Health Alliance (RHA). The Network aims to turn existing information into shared, decision-ready intelligence that can drive coordinated action.
