The World Health Organization revealed that more than 1,450 cases of dengue fever have been recorded in Yemeni governorates under the control of the Yemeni government since the beginning of this year.

The organization said in a post on its account on the X platform that it had monitored 1,456 suspected cases in the southeastern governorates of Yemen since the beginning of 2025.

She added that these governorates recorded a total of 9,901 cases of dengue fever during the past year, including 9 deaths associated with the disease.

She said that she had launched a new campaign to combat dengue fever in 8 governorates with the support of the Directorate General of Civil Protection and the European Union Humanitarian Aid Operations ( ECHO ).
