Noor Jalala Jalali, the acting Minister of Public Health, during a meeting with the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) health section for Afghanistan, requested necessary measures to prevent and control Monkeypox in Afghanistan. 

According to the ministry's spokesperson, Jalali met with the head of WHO for Afghanistan, the head of UNICEF's office in Afghanistan, and officials from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Kabul.

 Sharafat Zaman Amarkhil, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Health, said: "Noor Jalala Jalali, the acting Minister of Public Health, discussed the prevention of Monkeypox with representatives of international organizations, and the global organizations assured the acting minister of their cooperation in vaccination at treatment centers." 

Doctors said Monkeypox is contagious and called for the availability of diagnostic kits for the disease.

 Doctor, Faridullah Omari said: "When a healthy person comes into contact with individuals or animals infected with this disease, they can transmit it."
