Gaza - The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip Saturday made a desperate appeal for international relief organizations to provide electric generators to hospitals amid the ongoing Israeli war on the enclave.

It said in a statement that it had relied on electric generators in the past nine months to power hospitals after the sole power station in the Strip was bombed and put out of service.

It said a number of electric generators in hospitals had suffered irreparable damage and others were directly targeted by the bombing.
