The Kingdom of Bahrain is taking part in World Patient Safety Day, observed on September 17, under the theme "Safe care for every newborn and every child" and the slogan "Patient safety from the start".

The Ministry of Health underlined its commitment to protecting the right of newborns and children to high-quality healthcare from the earliest moments of life. It emphasised national, institutional and community efforts to implement sustainable plans for safe care, empower families and caregivers to play an active role, and promote research on child and newborn patient safety.
