State resolute in continuing reforms, implementing development programs

ALGIERS - The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed Tuesday in Algiers the State's determination to continue reforms and implement development programs, underscoring that Algeria has achieved milestones across various fields that "only the willfully blind would deny."

In a speech to the Nation delivered before both Houses of Parliament at the Palace of Nations (Club des Pins), the President expressed his conviction that "reforms are an ongoing process to establish governance for the people and by the people," adding: "We will continue implementing sustainable development programs."

On this occasion, President Tebboune commended Parliament's dynamism, which has enabled it to "assert the powers of the legislative branch by exercising its right to initiate legislation, including the nationality law and the law criminalizing colonialism."

He further affirmed that the national dialogue he previously announced will be responsive to "all requests from political parties."

Regarding the foundations of the rule of law, the President emphasized that "justice will crack down on corruption and dysfunction in all its forms while protecting all honest officials."
