South Kordofan Governor Musa Jabr disclosed that the SPLM-N led by Abdel Aziz al-Hilu has promised to release health workers detained three months ago.

The armed group last March kidnapped five health workers including two women participating in a measles vaccination campaign in the Saraf El-Murr area of Abukarshola locality.

“We have made appreciable efforts with the SPLM over the past period to release the health workers, and they promised us that they would free them soon,” Jabr told the Sudan Tribune on Tuesday.
