Severe food insecurity at risk of escalating: Sudan is facing the world's largest hunger crisis


Severe Acute Food Insecurity has massively increased since the beginning of the conflict, leaving over half of the country experiencing severe food insecurity. Urgent action and resources are required to prevent further deterioration and escalation of needs.

Urgent action must be taken to prevent the spread of hunger. Without the immediate allocation of resources and a ceasefire, millions of highly food insecure people will see their conditions deteriorate to near catastrophe levels, or worse be simply left with no assistance at all. The Food Security and Livelihood Cluster (FSLC) is pressing the international community to step up:
