Kuwait has reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating joint Arab health initiatives and unifying regional positions in international medical forums to strengthen the resilience of healthcare systems across the Arab world amid escalating humanitarian challenges. This came during the participation of Ministry of Health Undersecretary and head of the Kuwaiti delegation Sheikh Dr Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah in the Executive Bureau meeting of the Council of Arab Health Ministers, held on the sidelines of the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva.
The ministerial bureau discussed a range of pressing health priorities in the Arab region, foremost among them the deteriorating health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories. Participants also reviewed efforts to enhance Arab coordination within the World Health Organization and approved the unified statement of the Council of Arab Health Ministers to be delivered to the World Health Assembly.
