The urgent cholera response project in Yemen, supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), provided medical services to 10,353 individuals during the period from January 21 to 27.
Services included comprehensive cholera screening at Al-Rayyan Airport, Seiyun International Airport, and the Al-Wadiah, Al-Hafiyah, and Razih border crossings. One suspected case was recorded. The project also conducted 223 awareness and health education sessions, benefiting 4,510 individuals.
The initiative targets the most affected areas to curb the spread of cholera. Medical teams screen travelers at air and land entry points, while health facilities receive treatment supplies and expanded bed capacity to manage rising cases.
These efforts form part of the Kingdom’s support, through KSrelief, for Yemen’s health sector to combat the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases.
