A coordination meeting, chaired by Dr. Abdul Jabbar Haider, Director of the Afghanistan National Public Health Institute, was held with representatives of more than 20 national and international partner organizations.
During the meeting, attended by representatives of the Ministry of Public Health's Directorate of International Relations, participants were introduced to the Institute's mandate, organizational structure, and its three core areas of work: public health research, human resource training and capacity building, and health promotion.
The meeting also included discussions on strengthening coordination, avoiding duplication of efforts, promoting the sharing of data and scientific evidence, supporting the implementation of joint programmes, and ensuring that activities are aligned with national public health priorities.
Dr. Abdul Jabbar Haider emphasized the importance of coordination, collaboration, and effective partnerships, and underscored the role of the Afghanistan National Public Health Institute in scientific research, human resource training and capacity building, and health promotion.
