TAP) - More than 100 psychiatrists from different regions of Tunisia took part in the 8th conference of private psychiatry organised Saturday in Sfax by the Association of Private Psychiatrists of Sfax and South (APEPSS) around the theme of "Bipolarity Resistant."

Bipolarity, where the bipolar person lives his emotions with excessive intensity sometimes difficult to control, is manifested, in fact, through states of depression, mania and mixed to varying degrees and poorly controlled knowing that the prevalence of this disease in society is quite significant with a rate of nearly 8%, according to the President of the APEPSS, Habib Mahdi.

Dr. Mahdi said in a statement to TAP, on the sidelines of the conference, that this annual event specialising in bipolar disorders is the result of continuous and long-term work of the association since its inception in 2013.
