Sudan’s Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, and the World Health Organization (WHO) Representative in Sudan, Dr. Shible Sahbani, signed a joint plan for the years 2026–2027 on Friday in Port Sudan, according to the Sudan News Agency.
The minister and the UN official discussed the WHO’s interventions in supporting Sudan’s health sector. Dr. Haitham expressed his satisfaction with the partnership with the World Health Organization, affirming that the plan includes multiple pillars aimed at strengthening the country’s health system. He praised the technical and logistical support provided by the organization at both regional and global levels, and thanked all those who contributed to the preparation of the signed plan.
