The first virtual meeting between Sudan and Egypt following the signing of the protocol on combating the “Gambiae” mosquito was held on Sunday.
During the meeting, participants reviewed a comprehensive report on the health situation in both countries, with particular focus on the challenges posed by the disease and strategies to limit its spread.
According to the Sudan News Agency, the meeting concluded with an agreement on an implementation plan for indoor residual spraying campaigns in the Northern State, River Nile State, and Kassala. The campaign is scheduled to commence in October and November to ensure comprehensive coverage of the targeted areas and protect local communities from the risks of infection.
