President Nizar Amedi met with Health Minister Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi at Baghdad Palace on Tuesday, where the minister congratulated him on assuming office and wished him success in his duties.

Talks focused on Iraq’s healthcare system and ways to further improve its performance.

“Improving healthcare services remains a priority, and requires sustained coordination among all relevant institutions to ensure better outcomes for citizens,” President Amedi said.

He called for strengthening the sector and raising the standard of medical services, alongside efforts to address ongoing challenges and upgrade healthcare infrastructure across the country.

Al-Hasnawi outlined key pressures facing the sector and reviewed plans and measures aimed at improving service delivery and supporting medical staff, with a view to raising the overall quality of care nationwide.
