KABUL(BNA): Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Acting Minister of Public Health, met with Dr. Hanan Al-Balkhi, the Regional Director of the World Health Organization (WHO), to discuss strengthening health services, capacity building, and addressing healthcare challenges in Afghanistan.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, during the meeting, the Acting Minister discussed the expansion of health services, capacity building of staff, delivery of healthcare in remote areas, and the prevention of contagious diseases.

He emphasized the importance of not only emergency and short-term assistance but also the need for sustained support to develop the health system.
