The Jordanian National Centre for Epidemics and Communicable Diseases Control (JCDC) on Thursday emphasised the fundamental role of primary healthcare, mostly provided through health centres across the Kingdom, in early detection and prevention of communicable diseases. 

These centres have been instrumental in diagnosing and responding to such diseases, thus preventing epidemics, according to a JCDC statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
