Malaria, dengue cases rise in Delhi after summer rain

This year’s increase in the number of cases could be attributed to the unseasonal rain that occurred in early May, an MCD official said. Amid heavy rain in Delhi in April and May, the number of cases of malaria and dengue has also risen. The city has reported 34 malaria cases this year, the second-highest case count till June in the last six years.
