Libya signs two health cooperation agreements with GIZ

Libya’s Ministry of Health has signed two cooperation agreements with the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) aimed at improving healthcare services and strengthening the country’s health system.

The first agreement focuses on boosting primary healthcare based on municipal needs to improve service distribution and raise the quality of care at the local level.

The second targets maternal and newborn health by supporting healthcare programs, building capacity, and enhancing service quality for priority groups.

The ministry said the partnerships form part of its broader strategy to expand international cooperation, benefit from global expertise, and advance sustainable development in the health sector.
