BEIRUT, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon on Tuesday received the third batch of monthly financial assistance from the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) to support the country's health sector amid the economic crisis.
Lebanon will use the aid to purchase the fuel oil needed for health facilities every month, the National News Agency reported.
Nearly 1.5 million liters of diesel have been distributed among government hospitals, care homes, and health facilities within this support program's framework, which extends over nine months.
On July 22, Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health received the first two batches of the financial aid provided by the QFFD within a 50-million-U.S. dollars support package.
