The government on Wednesday approved a proposal in principle for procuring some 1.2 million pieces of normal saline 1,000ml and 8,00,000 pieces of glucose saline 1,000ml under the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) on an urgent basis in order to facilitate the treatment of dengue patients.
The approval came from the 21st meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) this year held virtually with Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal in the chair.
