An expanded meeting was held in Benghazi between the Office of Social Service, School Health, and Psychological Counseling of the Benghazi Education Monitoring Office, and the Office of Supportive Specializations of the Educational Inspection and Guidance Authority, aimed at developing school performance and enhancing the quality of social and psychological services provided to students.
Participating in the meeting were Randa Al-Susi, Director of the Office of Social Service, School Health, and Psychological Counseling, along with the heads of the Social Service and Psychological Counseling departments and office members, and Ilham Dabboub, Director of the Office of Supportive Specializations, with the Authority’s Social Service and Psychological Counseling units.
The meeting addressed several key topics, including: discussing the challenges facing social workers and psychological counselors within schools, establishing practical mechanisms to overcome difficulties and unify procedures between the two offices, strengthening technical and administrative aspects and setting work priorities within educational institutions, coordinating programs and activities that support students’ mental and social health, and reviewing field follow-up plans and technical support mechanisms, with an emphasis on the importance of training courses.
