The Egyptian Health and Population Ministry announced on Friday that it provided medical assistance to over 2 million patients suffering from respiratory illnesses in 2022.

The announcement was made during a press conference held on World TB Day, in collaboration with the World Health Organization and the Association against Smoking, Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases. The event, titled "Yes! We can end TB!", celebrated the progress made in fighting tuberculosis in Egypt.
