The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation on Monday announced the signing of a $100 million agreement with the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development to implement a comprehensive digital transformation project within the Ministry of Health.
The agreement, signed by Sami Smeirat, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and Adel Sharji, COO of Presight, an Abu Dhabi-based company specializing in big data analytics using artificial intelligence, aims to enhance health services through modern technologies.
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan expressed Jordan's appreciation for the United Arab Emirates' continued support, stressing that the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development remains a vital partner in Jordan's development efforts.
Toukan emphasized that this agreement is part of a $400 million memorandum of understanding signed in November 2022 between Jordan and the Fund. The digital transformation project, which focuses on improving healthcare delivery and keeping pace with technological advancements, is the first phase of this cooperation.
