Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Acting Minister of Public Health, recently met with Robert Dickson, the British Charge d’Affaires for Afghanistan, to discuss potential areas for the United Kingdom’s support in Afghanistan’s health sector.

The meeting highlighted the need for healthcare facilities in remote areas, enhanced resources for cancer and addiction treatment, and further international assistance to address the country’s healthcare challenges.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, Acting Minister Jalali emphasized the ministry’s commitment to expanding treatment options for cancer patients and those struggling with addiction. He noted that thousands of individuals have received addiction treatment over the past three years, and specialized centers have been established to improve accessibility and support for cancer patients.
