Jordan's first monkeypox patient recovers

Jordan's first patient of monkeypox has recovered from the infection, according to the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health for Primary Health Care and Epidemiology Affairs Raed Shboul Sunday.

Shboul told Roya that the man will leave quarantine on Thursday morning.

He pointed out that only six of his family members came into contact with the infected individual.

Last week, the Minister of State for Media Affairs and government spokesman Faisal Al-Shboul said that the government does not intend to impose any closures in Jordan after the first case of monkeypox was recorded.
