Jordan recorded five deaths and 5,939 new coronavirus cases in one week (from Aug. 6 until Aug. 12), according to the weekly COVID-19 statistical report issued by the Ministry of Health every Sunday.
The total death toll reached 14,095.
The number of cases witnessed an increase of around eight percent in comparison to the 5,482 cases which were recorded last week.
There are 82 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.
There are a total of 5,187 active COVID-19 cases.
A total of 33,625 PCR tests were conducted in one week.
The weekly positive PCR test rate reached 17.7 percent.
