Health sector near-total collapse in Sudan’s Dilling

Sudan’s Doctors’ Network said ongoing attacks on medical facilities in Dilling, South Kordofan state, have led to a near-total collapse of the area’s health sector.

The group said shelling and repeated assaults have forced a large number of medical facilities out of service, including the teaching hospital, which is operating at limited capacity despite efforts to restore it. Several other hospitals have shut down completely, worsening the health crisis and severely limiting residents’ access to basic care.

It added that most primary health centers in Dilling have also stopped functioning, with around a dozen facilities no longer operational, leaving thousands of civilians without essential medical services.
