Ministry of Health said that Syria is free of monkey pox disease at present.

The transmission of the disease is lower than Covid-19 and other infectious diseases such as polio, measles, and others, the Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

The health sector is in emergency preparedness by circulating the precautionary measures that must be taken by the early monitoring and epidemiological investigation teams in all provinces and health workers at border crossings, the statement added.
