Health Ministry intensifies mosquito control campaigns across Bahrain

The Ministry of Health is intensifying pre-emptive campaigns to curb the spread of insects and mosquitoes during this season, said Raja Al Saloom, Chief of Environmental Health at the Public Health Directorate. These efforts include intensified operations across Bahrain’s governorates and targeted measures to eliminate breeding sites, safeguarding public health.

Al Saloom noted that mosquitoes are present year-round but increase during this season, especially after rainfall, in stagnant water, and in conditions like moderate temperatures and humidity between seasons. She emphasised that the ministry, in coordination with the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture and other relevant entities, is intensifying field campaigns to combat mosquito breeding areas and addressing complaints in affected locations.
