HEALTH MINISTRY INAUGURATES NEW OXYGEN GENERATION STATION AT BAABDA GOVERNMENTAL UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN COLLABORATION WITH WHO, GERMANY’S KFW BANK


NNA - The Ministry of Public Health on Wednesday inaugurated an oxygen generation station at Baabda Governmental University Hospital, sponsored by Minister of Public Health, Dr. Firas Al-Abiad, in the presence of German Ambassador Kurt Georg Stoeckl-Stillfried, Mount Lebanon Governor Judge Mohammad Makawi, WHO Acting Representative in Lebanon Dr. Abdul Nasser Abu Bakr, Hospital Director Farid Sabagh, Ministry of Public Health's Hospitals and Dispensaries Department Head Hisham Fawaz, alongside other officials and stakeholders.

The station is part of a collaboration with the World Health Organization and financial support from Germany's KfW Development Bank, aiming to enhance hospital readiness and oxygen independence. It marks a significant step in Lebanon's national health strategy amid crises, ensuring sustained healthcare capabilities.
