(TAP) - Health Minister Ali Mrabet highlighted the efforts being made in Tunisia to reduce the effects of climate change on health, in particular the creation of a sectoral commission under the aegis of the Ministry of Health, bringing together all the health structures concerned.

Speaking at an international conference on the impact of climate on health, organised by the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) (an international cooperation group for developing countries that are highly vulnerable to climate change), as part of the work of the 76th session of the World Health Assembly (the supreme decision-making body of the World Health Organisation) being held from May 21 to 30, 2023 in Geneva, the Minister also emphasised the role played by the Ministry of the Environment in this field through the development of the national strategy to combat the effects of climate change in 2022.
