The first national training workshop for vaccination supervisors in Libyan municipalities began Sunday in Tripoli. The workshop is organized through a partnership between the World Health Organization and the National Center for Disease Control, represented by the National Immunization Program.

According to the WHO office in Libya, the workshops aim to strengthen the skills of local health workers and improve the routine immunization program across the country. Vaccination supervisors from several municipalities are attending the workshop. They will receive hands-on training in vaccine data management, reviewing vaccination coverage, evaluating missed vaccination opportunities, and developing evidence-based improvement plans.

These efforts are designed to improve data quality, support better decision-making, and raise the standard of vaccination services at the municipal level. The Tripoli workshop is the first in a series of four planned for July. Additional workshops will be held in Misrata and Benghazi.
