Save The Children: 18 Health Centers in Afghanistan closed due to funding cuts

The Save the Children organization in Afghanistan has reported that 18 health centers have been shut down due to a reduction in funding. The closure of these centers has significantly impacted healthcare access for Afghan children, leaving many vulnerable to various health issues.

The organization warned on Tuesday March 11 that if immediate financial support is not provided, an additional 14 centers will be forced to close in the coming weeks.

The organization emphasized that the reduction in funding has put Afghan children at greater risk, especially those suffering from malnutrition. Programs designed to address child malnutrition have already been suspended due to the financial shortfall. This has exacerbated the already dire situation for children in need of urgent medical care.
