Pakistan has launched a polio vaccination campaign today in the province of Balochistan, as part of ongoing national efforts to eradicate the virus. According to Radio Pakistan, the campaign targets high-risk districts within the province, including Quetta, Chaman, Qilla Abdullah, Pishin, and Parshor.

The initiative aims to reach more than 300,000 children under the age of ten. Pakistani authorities have urged families to ensure their children receive the vaccine to safeguard them against the disease.

It is worth recalling that Pakistan and Afghanistan remain the only two countries in the world where polio is still endemic.
