Minister of Health, Mohammed Al-Ghoj says urgent steps are being taken to improve readiness and raise the quality of services at hospitals in the capital, Tripoli.
Al-Ghoj made the announcement during a meeting with officials from 25 hospitals across the municipality, according to a statement by the Ministry of Health under the Government of National Unity.
The ministry said the measures focus on increasing bed capacity, supplying hospitals with essential equipment and directing spending towards urgent priorities that have a direct impact on patient care.
Health facilities are also to be linked to the national financial system and the “Taysir” platform, aimed at organising official correspondence and strengthening administrative discipline. The minister also called for the adoption of a unified standard drug list in each hospital.
