The Ministry of Health in Gaza said the Israeli occupation army targeted 65% of health institutions in the Strip, and deliberately deprived thousands of patients from receiving medical care over a full year of the Israeli genocidal war.
This came in a statement issued by the ministry on the occasion of the anniversary of October 7 on which the Israeli annihilation war on the Gaza Strip has started.
The statement said, “Nearly 65% of health institutions (including governmental, private and the UNRWA facilities) were targeted, noting that the rest are partially functioning with a 300% occupancy rate, especially the intensive care and nurseries departments.”
It added that the Israeli occupation army destroyed infrastructure, sewage networks and prevented the introduction of detergents and sterilization materials, which led to the spread of epidemics and diseases, such as hepatitis, polio, and skin diseases.
