Bangladesh is grappling with a rising dengue crisis, with one more death reported and 463 new hospital admissions in the last 24 hours, Anadolu Agency reported yesterday citing the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The total caseload has now reached 15,670, with at least 96 fatalities since January. Of these, 13,992 patients have been discharged.
Dhaka reported 193 hospitalizations, while 270 were admitted across other regions. On Saturday alone, three deaths and over 400 new cases were recorded. In 2023, the country faced a record 1,705 dengue-related deaths out of 321,179 cases.
