The SRTF is pleased to announce the completion of Phase II of its Health intervention “COVID-19 Emergency Response and Establishment of Secondary and Tertiary Care in Deir-ez-Zor”.

This intervention contributed to improving health care services and addressing gaps in the health sector. One hospital was rehabilitated to include the existing COVID-19 ward and establish a new non-COVID-19 inpatient ward, consultation rooms, an outpatient department, a haemodialysis department, an emergency room, and an intensive care unit.

To ensure adequate delivery of high-quality health services, medication and medical equipment were provided and capacity building training sessions were delivered to medical and administrative staff. Referrals were also made and transportation was provided for patients who needed services at other health facilities.
