The Ministry of Health and Population announced on Friday that over 10,628 psychological support sessions have been provided to 927 injured Palestinians since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza in October.
The ministry explained that the sessions were provided to Palestinians receiving treatment for wounds, burns, and fractures at 10 hospitals affiliated with the ministry in North Sinai, Port Said, Ismailia, and Cairo.
Dr. Menan Abdel-Maqsoud, secretary-general of the Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Secretariat, stated that approximately 10 percent of Palestinians who received psychological support sessions also required medication.
