The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has announced that it treated over 475,000 malnourished children in Afghanistan during this year.

The organization also said that therapeutic food was provided to 3,300 treatment centers to combat malnutrition.

UNICEF stated on X: “UNICEF supplies therapeutic food to 3,300 service delivery points in Afghanistan, treating over 475,000 children this year.”

“They should develop a good policy to ensure standard services for children, as well as a clear law to protect children, so Afghan children can have safe access to healthcare services,” said Sayed Abdullah Ahmadi, a doctor.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Health stated that the number of malnutrition cases has decreased compared to previous years, and currently, more than 3,000 centers are operational across the country to treat this condition.
