IMC: 84% of hospitals affected by floods are either nonfunctional or partially functional - Libay


The International Medical Corps (IMC) said in a report that 84% of hospitals and 88% of primary health centers are nonfunctional or only partially functional in the areas affected by floods in eastern Libya, especially Derna. 

IMC added that the most severely impacted areas include the cities of Derna and Sousa, as well as the nearby towns of Al-Bayda and Al Makhaili. 

"Needs for water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services, as well as for healthcare and mental health services, are critical in flood-affected areas in Libya." The report reads.
